Advanced dermal filler treatments address complex areas such as the under-eye (tear trough) and the nose (non-surgical rhinoplasty). These procedures demand precise technique, careful product selection and robust safety protocols. Your practitioner will discuss suitability, alternatives and expected outcomes during consultation.

Treatment Areas & Goals

Tear Trough (Under-Eye)

  • Softens hollows and shadows for a fresher appearance
  • Uses low-swelling HA fillers placed conservatively in precise planes
  • Risks and considerations discussed during consultation

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (Liquid Rhinoplasty)

  • Refines the nasal profile (e.g. smoothing small humps, lifting tip)
  • Best for shape refinement
  • Avoids surgery but still carries important vascular risks; strict aftercare is essential

The Treatment Process

  1. Consultation & medical history - photographs, expectations, consent
  2. Planning - anatomy mapping, product choice, needle vs cannula
  3. Numbing - topical anaesthetic; many fillers also contain lidocaine
  4. Precise injections - conservative placement, safety checks throughout
  5. Aftercare explained - review offered at ~2 weeks if needed

What to Expect

Allow 45 minutes including consultation and numbing. Swelling and small bruises are common for several days; final results are best assessed after 2-4 weeks once the product integrates and swelling settles.

Aftercare (Summary)

General guidance: sleep elevated; avoid heat, strenuous exercise, alcohol for 48 hours; no makeup for 24 hours; no facials or dental work for 2 weeks; do not massage unless advised.
Nose: Avoid any pressure, avoid touching the area.
Tear trough: cold compresses, expect transient puffiness.

Safety & Reversibility

We use CE-marked hyaluronic acid fillers and follow strict hygiene/safety protocols. If clinically indicated, results can be reversed with hyaluronidase after an allergy risk assessment.

Urgent signs: vascular occlusion: increasing severe pain, pale/blue/grey patches, visual changes, area cold to touch or sudden numbness - contact the clinic immediately for assessment.

Advanced Dermal Filler FAQ

They involve higher-risk anatomy (e.g. under-eye, nose) and require specialised techniques, product choice and safety protocols.

Suitability is confirmed at consultation after medical history and facial assessment. Some cases are better served by surgery or alternative treatments.

Tear trough results typically last 6-12 months; non-surgical rhinoplasty often 12-18 months. Individual metabolism and lifestyle affect longevity.

Expect swelling or bruising for several days and a settling period of 2-4 weeks. We review results at ~2 weeks if needed.

Yes-hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase following an allergy risk assessment.

Avoid glasses if possible to prevent indentations or product displacement. This can be discussed during consultation.

Bruising, swelling and asymmetry are common and temporary. Rare but serious risks include vascular compromise and, for nasal/under-eye, vision changes-seek urgent assessment if severe pain, blanching/blue skin, visual symptoms or cool skin occur.
