Longevity varies by area and product: typically 9-18 months in structural areas (cheeks/jaw/chin) and 6-12 months in mobile areas (around the mouth).

Dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid (HA) can restore volume, refine contours and soften lines for a refreshed but natural appearance. Product choice and technique are tailored to your goals following a medical consultation and facial assessment.

Treatment Areas

  • Cheeks - restore mid-face support and lift
  • Jawline & chin - sharpen definition and balance profile
  • Nasolabial folds - soften deepening smile lines (often paired with cheek support)
  • Perioral/“smokers” lines - fine lines around the mouth
  • Marionette/chin-jaw junction - reduce downward shadows and improve harmony

Note: Fillers are not a substitute if surgery is required where there is significant skin laxity; we will discuss the best options for your goals.

The Treatment Process

  1. Consultation & medical history - expectations, photos, consent
  2. Planning - area selection, product, needle vs cannula
  3. Numbing - topical anaesthetic; many fillers contain lidocaine
  4. Precise placement - conservative layering; gentle molding (no self-massage unless instructed)
  5. Aftercare explained - optional review at ~2 weeks if needed

What to Expect

Appointments usually last 30-60 minutes depending on areas treated. Mild swelling or bruising is common and settles within 1 week; final results are best assessed at 1-2 weeks.

Aftercare (Summary)

A cold compress can be used if required to reduce swelling, sleep elevated the first night. Avoid alcohol, heat and strenuous exercise for 48 hours. No makeup for 24 hours over treated areas. Do not massage unless advised. Avoid facials and dental work for 2 weeks. Use paracetamol if required (avoid ibuprofen/aspirin if possible).

Safety & Reversibility

We use CE-marked HA fillers under strict hygiene protocols. If clinically indicated, results can be reversed with hyaluronidase following an allergy risk assessment.

Urgent signs: increasing severe pain, pale/blue/grey patches, cool skin or sudden numbness - contact the clinic immediately for assessment.

Dermal Fillers FAQ

Results are visible immediately, with best assessment after swelling settles (1-2 weeks). Longevity is typically 9-18 months in structural areas and 6-12 months around the mouth, varying by product and metabolism.

Our approach is conservative and proportion-led. The aim is subtle lift and definition that moves naturally with your expressions.

We use both, selecting needle or micro-cannula based on the area and goal to optimise safety, comfort and placement.

Yes-hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase after an allergy risk assessment.

Suitability is confirmed at consultation (18+). We’ll review your medical history and may recommend alternatives if filler isn’t in your best interest.

Often yes, but sequencing matters. We’ll advise on the safest order and timing for your goals.
